About POCS

Prime Oil Chemical Service Corporation (POCS) was founded in 1978. We are a listed company on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (Stock Symbol 2904.tw) since 1983.

We have two primary business divisions. One is the Tank Storage Service Division, and the other is the Energy Division, with renewable energy as its core focus.

POCS is the largest petrochemical shore tank storage service provider in Taiwan. With 30 years of experience, the Tank Storage Service Division is dedicated to providing high-quality petrochemical storage services to our customers. 
We have two shore tank storage terminals with one POCS wharf at the Port of Taichung, Taiwan. 
With an area of 11 hectares, we have 51 shore tanks with various capacities, and an aggregate volume of approximate 300,000 kiloliters. 
The annual cargo throughput exceeds 3 million metric tons.

Tank Storage Service Division primary clients are well-known petrochemical manufacturers and traders. Our service quality has earned the trust of our clients in the following ways:
Our operations are not only supervised by the government, but also audited regularly by our clients. 
We have also obtained ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001(ISO45001) certifications.
We are one of the participants in CDI-T Terminal Scheme (Chemical Distribution Institute-Terminal). 
 
POCS started its Energy Division in 2016. We look for suitable locations to build photovoltaic power generation systems as a way to collect long-term electricity sales or receive rental revenues, as our main business model.
 
The Energy Division has accomplished the following:
48PV projects have been installed in Taiwan, with an aggregate capacity of 18.11MW.
One PV project with a capacity of 5.2MW has been installed overseas, bringing the total installed capacity to 23.31MW.
 
In 2023, the Energy Division created an aggregate of solar power of 16.9 million kWh domestically, which is equivalent to :
Carbon dioxide emissions reduction of approximately 10,5181 metric tons
Carbon fixation of 26.92 Da'an Forest Parks 
Coal consumption reduction of 7,8633 metric tons.
 
Note:

1 .Based on 2022 power emission factor declared by the Ministry of Economic Affairs: 0.495 kg CO2e per kWh of electricity.

2 .Based on an annual carbon adsorption capacity of Da’an Forest Park (Taipei, Taiwan) of 390 tons

3 .Based on the fact that one kWh of solar power can reduce 0.37 kg of coal consumption.


Since its inception in 2016, the Energy Division has generated approximately 97.35million kWh in Taiwan.
